More Than 50 Agencies and Individuals to be Honored

TOWSON, MD (November 30, 2012) --- Fifty-five law enforcement agencies, police officers, crime prevention groups, and private citizens will be honored during the 33rd annual Governorís Crime Prevention Awards on December 4th.
The annual event is put together by the MD Community Crime Prevention Institute, an agency within the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services whose mission is to provide crime prevention programs, materials, and training for law enforcement and citizens alike. The Institute is based at the MD Public Safety Education and Training Center in Sykesville, and is part of the Police and Correctional Training Commissions.
This yearís winners include police agencies from all corners of Maryland, as well as military, federal, and college and university groups.
